Father s Role As A Child s Development - 1478 Words

The literature review examines the father s role as being very important to a child s development and brings out positive benefits when they’re actively involved. Fathers are more than just the second adult in the home. When involved fathers, biological or not, they bring positive benefits to a child that no other person is likely to bring. Geert Hofstede vs. Fons Trompenaars Introduction How do we market in different cultures? Although we have done many researches about the different cultures, marketing, which is as a discipline, has lagged behind other researches in recognizing the need for it. Before we have found the importance of marketing in different cultures, usually, the approach for marketing was too simple, and we often use the economic theory to explain facts and solve problems, however, international marketing and management is a kind of practical work, which is different from the economic research. According to him, international companies tend to standardize their management functioning because of globalisation, and impose this way of thinking to their subsidiaries. Problems in companies appear as they don t take care about the cultural differences of employees and certain ways of managing are not appropriate to certain cultures. He defines culture as the way a human group solve its problems. Cooleys Telecommunications Specialist I spend a great deal of time and effort researching and analyzing the telecommunication industry. The telecommunications industry is comprised of local and long distance phone companies, cable and satellite companies and companies that manufacture equipment used for telecommunications(www.hoovers.com/sector/). These manufactured products include satellite equipment, fiber optics, switching equipment, wireless communication technology, and microwave equipment(www.hoovers.com/sector/). The telecommunications industry has become overwhelmingly important as we head into the 21st century. These telecommunications companies commit huge entitlements to research departments which are constantly improving communication technology. This means more exciting new products all the time, and as we progress these products will become even more affordable and readily available to the public. We are now in the midst of a Telecommunications Revolution, changing the industry at an astounding speed, driven by the convergence of technologies and the series of mergers sweeping the industry(www.business.com). As a Telecommunications Specialist, my job is not to try and find you a good company to invest in, but instead to determine which company is the best of the best. After assessing your financial objectives I determined that the Bell Atlantic Corporation would be the best company for you to invest in. Bell Atlantic has telecommunications operation along the eastern seaboard from Maine to Virginia. Bell Atlantic specializes in local and long distance telephone service, Infospeed DSL BA Internet, Satellite TV Service, Voicemail and Bell Atlantic Mobile Wireless services(www.ba.com). Bell Atlantic Mobile has received a lot of attention because of their very recent merger with GTE and Vodafone AirTouch to create Verizon Wireless. Due to this merger Verizon Wireless has become the largest wireless communications provider in the United States with over 16 million customers(www.verizonwireless.com). The prospects of Verizon Wireless, the new major player in the wireless industry, and the already stable performance makes Bell Atlantic a great investment. Just to throw out some numbers in 1995 Bell Atlantic stock was generating $2.03 per share, after onl y four years they were generating $3.01 per share(www.ba.com). Thats a 50% increase from 1995 to 1999, along with Bell Atlantics annual dividend of $1.54. Over a four week period I have tracked Bell Atlantic stock. The 52 week high is 69 , the 52 week low is 47 3/8, the P.E. ratio was an average of 24.5, their is an average volume of 3.55 million and Book Value is $10.23(biz.yahoo.com). Over the four week period the stock lost 5 points, but that has been due to the recent downward swings of the NYSE and the Dow Jones, not by any weakness in the stock itself.Last year Bell Atlantic reported having double-digit earnings growth for the 5th consecutive year, and during the last quarter revenue grew 7.1%. Bell Atlantic Chairman and CEO Ivan Seidenberg commented on the recent growth by saying, This was a terrific quarter, in which we continued to accelerate our revenue growth, not only are our growth engines firing on all cylinders, but our traditional business is continuing to expand as well. Were going into our combination with Vodafone AirTouch and our merger with GTE with terrific momentum.(www.ba.com). The quarter report also indicated net customer additions of 290,000 at Bell Atlantic Mobile, Doubled sales of Infospeed DSL service and Continued strong International Wireless growth, with 365,000 proportionate net customer additions(www.ba.com). Bell Atlantic is a company with a strong history of traditional business and exciting new enterprises. .u763709dc507b8d3ff8df69750d318da9 , .u763709dc507b8d3ff8df69750d318da9 .postImageUrl , .u763709dc507b8d3ff8df69750d318da9 .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .u763709dc507b8d3ff8df69750d318da9 , .u763709dc507b8d3ff8df69750d318da9:hover , .u763709dc507b8d3ff8df69750d318da9:visited , .u763709dc507b8d3ff8df69750d318da9:active { border:0!important; } .u763709dc507b8d3ff8df69750d318da9 .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .u763709dc507b8d3ff8df69750d318da9 { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .u763709dc507b8d3ff8df69750d318da9:active , .u763709dc507b8d3ff8df69750d318da9:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .u763709dc507b8d3ff8df69750d318da9 .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .u763709dc507b8d3ff8df69750d318da9 .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .u763709dc507b8d3ff8df69750d318da9 .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .u763709dc507b8d3ff8df69750d318da9 .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .u763709dc507b8d3ff8df69750d318da9:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .u763709dc507b8d3ff8df69750d318da9 .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .u763709dc507b8d3ff8df69750d318da9 .u763709dc507b8d3ff8df69750d318da9-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .u763709dc507b8d3ff8df69750d318da9:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: Single parenting and Raising Healthy Children EssayI hope I have strengthened your confidence in D.L. Performance in Communication Skills and Strategies MyAssignmenthelp

Question: Discuss about the Performance in Oral Communication Skills and Strategies. Answer: Introduction: Language acts as an important medium for communication. Fluency in language creates a good image about the minds of the neighbors for the individuals. On the contrary, ordinary language serves the purpose, however it maintains continuity with the drab monotony in the life of the individual (Shokri et al., 2014). Attempts to use flowery and ornamental language and emerging successful adds to the personality of the individuals. On the other hand, emerging failure in the attempt to utilize ornamental language compels the individuals to witness mocking. In order to polish the preconceived communication skills, attending courses on communication skills holds prime importance. Attending these courses on a regular basis refines and upgrades the communicative skills of the individuals. English is one of the main languages, in which the individuals are bound to have proficiency. This is owing to the commonality English has in terms of being a classic and stylish language all over the world. Gaining proficiency in English, helps the village students to fulfill their needs when they land in foreign countries for employment opportunities (Johnson, Veitch Dewiyanti, 2015). Delving deep into the issue, it is a very rare case, that village students reach to that level to go abroad for higher studies. Countering this, possession of willingness and eagerness enables the individuals to undertake enduring tasks. In this respect, the village students can be termed as bilingual as they speak their mother tongue and are learning English. This motive has set the ground for the further discussion of the report. Fluency in one language, for example, the mother tongue aggravates the complexities of the individuals when they encounter a person from foreign lands (Jackson, 2014). Knowing only one language is also problematic when the individuals visit some other land, where the people speak some other language. The situation possesses two connotations. On a comic tone, this type of situation helps the individual to outpour their anger upon the opposite person in their mother tongue. The point of laughter increases upon the blank look of the person as he does not understand a single word uttered by the person standing in front of him. On a serious note, difficulty in understanding the words spoken by the other person makes the plight of both the persons helpless as neither of their needs is fulfilled. Herein, lays the need for knowing at least an extra language to be on the safe side (Fan et al., 2015). Maintaining continuity with the discussion, bilingual persons are advantageous as compared to the persons knowing only one language. The outcome of this is the refinement of communication skills. Viewing it from the business perspective, knowing two languages adds to the personality of the employees when they give presentations to the foreign clients. Moreover, attaining fluency in two languages adds to the preconceived skills, knowledge and expertise of the individuals (Johnson, Veitch Dewiyanti, 2015). Attending courses on foreign languages enhances the personality of the individuals, which paves the way for penetrating into the foreign countries for better communicative opportunities. In this respect stance can be taken in favor of being bilingual. References Shokri, N. M., Lin, E. Y. E., Radzi, H. M., Mokhtar, R., Ghazali, F., Muslimen, M. A., Tarmizi, M. A. A. (2014).
